DESCRIPTION:Join ECSN on the journey to more sustainable construction!\nNew webinar: Binders and concrete for the next decade\nThe webinar is free of charge.\n\nECSN is the network of European concrete societies comprising 13 members. In this new webinar\, we have brought together experts from within ECSN circles to present examples from various European countries on how the concrete construction sector can reduce its impact on the climate.\nThis is the second webinar that ECSN has organised in the field of sustainable concrete. The first webinar was arranged on 25 November 2021 on the topic ”Concrete and sustainability – an update on ongoing efforts in Europe”. \nIt is well known that the cement and concrete industry contributes significantly to global CO2 emissions. But at the same time\, this industry is now making a huge effort to solve these challenges. Solutions are now being developed using Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) or Carbon Capture\, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)\, or a combination of both. Other solutions are to develop new composite cements where the clinker is replaced partly with new supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). Potential approaches are also to re-carbonate old binders to enable them to function as new SCMs. Examples of all these efforts will be presented and discussed in this webinar. \nWelcome to the webinar and be a part of the future!\n \nProgram och anmälan
